Obituary for Marvin Roberto Taylor

Marvin Roberto Taylor, also known as “Fruit”, 62 years old, was called home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2019.Marvin was born on January 19, 1956 on the island of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands to the parents Viola M. Boynes and David H. Taylor. He attended Wayne Aspinal Junior High School in the early 1970 before relocating to the mainland.Marvin was a loving brother and uncle to many of the siblings and family members who loved him and truly cared for him. Marvin was passionate about basketball and was a star player for his school team. He loved music, dancing and good food. He always expressed the desire to “come back home”, but while alive, was unable to because of multiple health challenges.Marvin is survived by two sisters: Lorraine Taylor-Williams and Sonia Butler; several brothers: Ira Trant, Alfredo Stevens, Austin Boynes, Alvin Boynes, Melvin Boynes and Dean Blondmonville and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Marvin was loved by everyone he encountered, and he will truly be missed.                                                                         I’M FREEDon’t grieve for me, for now I’m free, I’m following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all.I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play;  Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that peace at the close of the day.Perhaps my time seemed all to brief.  Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift your hearts and share with me, I’m with God now, I’ve been set free. TO MY LOVING BROTHER MARVIN, FROM LORRAINE AND FAMILY                                                     (IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY)If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow. What is meant to lose you, no one can ever know. But now we know you want us to mourn no more.  To remember all the happy times, life still has much in store.Since you’ll never be forgotten we pledge to you today. A hallowed place within our hearts, is where you’ll always stay.I LOVE YOU MARVIN.  GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU. REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE.                                                             OUR BROTHERS’ KEEPERWhat do we do with what we have; what God has given to us.We surely cannot take our worldly possessions with us.Who have you lifted today? So, while we are here, let love, compassion, kindness and generosity guide our thoughts and our actions. FOR WE ARE OUR BROTHERS’ KEEPER.                                                              AcknowledgementThe Williams family would like to express deepest thanks and appreciation to everyone, especially The Fahie Family, for their kindness and support. And, to the many health care workers who provided care for my brother during his time of need, the warmest thank you.Pall Bearers…family and friends.Flower Ladies…family and friends.
