Obituary for Eaton Francis

Family and friends are advised of the passing of Brother Eaton Samuel Francis, who died on December 31st 2016, at Schneider Regional Medical Center.

Eaton Francis is survived by

Four Sisters: Kathleen Francis of Fayetteville North Carolina, Donna Francis of New Haven Connecticut; Cynthia Francis of Atlanta GA and Geraldine [Connie] Francis of Chicago

Two Brothers: Morris Francis of Columbus, GA and Vincent Francis of Fayetteville North Carolina

Two Sisters-in-law: Floriana Francis of Columbus, GA and Shirley Francis of Fayetteville North Carolina.

Five Nieces: Kim Brathwaite Watson, Joy Peter, April Francis, Jan Francis of GA and Tonya M. Abraham of North Carolina

Nephew: Jason Francis

Two Nephews-in-law: Paul Watson and Rudy Peter

Two Aunts: Twilona Davis of Antigua and Josephine Jackson of St. Thomas

Goddaughter: Marifsa H. Saddler

Caretaker: Carolyn Santora

Assistant caretakers: Patrick Anthony, Maryjoe Williams, Doris Smalls, Mona Jones, Jacqueline Rodgers, Jacqueline Thibou, Levi Stapleton, Pauline Nesbitt, Cheryl Richards.

He also leave to cherish his memory, numerous cousins, including special cousins Marie Horsford and Rosalind Thomas. Many Special friends---Ms. Pearl Hanley, Mrs. Bernice Heyliger, Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair Hamm, Mrs. Bernice Turnbull, members of the Methodist churches in the St. Thomas St .John Circuit and members of the Bovoni Baptist Church.

Brother Francis was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church and served as Sunday School Teacher, Bell ringer and Lay Preacher. He was also a member of the Bible Study group at Wesley, The Methodist Benevolent Society and class #8

Because of his love for the Methodist heritage, the hymns and corresponding numbers he knew by heart, he was often referred to as the walking Methodist Hymn Book. Brother Francis was always willing to serve in whatever capacity. Well done good and faithful servant! May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Wesley Methodist Church from 9 - 10 a.m. The service will follow at 10am. Interment, Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay

Arrangements under the care of Hurley Funeral Home and Cremation Center of St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix and Tortola.
