DAN HURLEY

Dan Hurley has worked in the Funeral Industry for the past 40 years. He has owned and managed funeral homes in the Boston area where he is originally from. A full time resident of St. Thomas, USVI, for the last several years, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Embalming and Applied Arts and Sciences from Mt. Ida College in Newton Massachusetts as well as a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Accounting and Business Management from the University of Massachusetts in Boston.

Joycelyn Connor has been managing Hurley Funeral Home since 2003. She works with families in their time of grief and provides them with the care and service they deserve. Mrs. Connor also supervises the daily operations of the business and is always ready to “care for those you care about.

Mrs. Connor attended the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting degree, magna cum laude. She was inducted in the Golden Key Honor Society and is a lifetime member. She also served as one of UVI students’ representatives in the University’s Senate.

She attends the Nisky Moravian Church, where she serves as president of the Women’s Fellowship and is a member of the gospel choir.

Mary Powell, comes with a wealth of experience to the funeral industry. Mrs. Powell owned and operated a day care in Cruz Bay, St. John for more than 40 years. She is also a member of the Bethany Moravian Church in St. John. She has played an integral role in the lives of many in the St. Johnian community. Mrs. Powell's involvement in funeral service ranges from meeting with families initially to directing funeral services. She is always ready to attend to the family's needs.

Michael Davis, joined the funeral home in 2014, after almost 20 years in the car sales industry. While Michael is responsible for the day-to-day outer office transactions.   Putting his training to use, Michael has quickly adapted to the funeral service industry, bringing the same attention to customer care to our families.
