Obituary for Gloria H. Rhymer Black

Gloria Rymer Black, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on May 26, 1947 in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, British Virgin Islands to the late Ceasar Rymer and Alice Rymer.



She is survived by her husband Brandon Black; three daughters, Kirsha Rhymer, Pamala Deitrich, and Joy Deitrich; two grandchildren, Noah Kline and Kaleb Petersen; sister, Malcia Rymer; two brothers, Quito and Christian Rymer, and many nieces, nephews, close cousins, and friends.



Gloria, Glo, was a genuine lady with a loving and generous heart. A devoted daughter and wife, a loving sister, wonderful mother, a true friend, and a caring soul. She worked in the Allied Health Profession for many years as a Medical Technologist on the island of St. Thomas. She was a dedicated worker and enjoyed her lifes work. She was and is a great teacher in the life lessons of courage, resilience, strength, strength in the Lord, determination, and family values.



She will surely be missed, but her love and memory live on.

Husband - Brandon Black

3 Daughters - Kirsha Rhymer, Pamala Deitrich, and Joy Detrich

2 Grandchildren - Noah Kline, and Kaleb Leighton Peterson

3 Siblings - Malcia Rymer, Enriquito Rymer, and Christian Rymer

5 Nieces and Nephews: Debra Hodge, Jeremy Hodge, Charisma Rhymer, and Jayvon and Enrica Rymer

Great nieces, nephews, and close cousins too numerous to mention



Funeral Information



Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the Viewing on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Cane Garden Bay Methodist Church, from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. with the Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00a.m.



The Rev. Elkanah B. Seymour, Officiating.



Interment:Methodist Cemetery, Cane Garden Bay.



St. Thomas arrangements are under the care of Hurley Funeral Home and Cremation Center of St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix and Tortola.
